Download Polarity Web Browser free for Windows

Posted by Technology Cracks
Web browser aficionados will want to check out Polarity, which integrates Google's Chromium and Internet Explorer's Trident Web rendering engines in one program. Polarity packs most of the features users expect in an up-to-date Web browser, such as tabbed browsing and pop-up blocking, plus some new tools like speech recognition. It's easy to set up, too. Polarity grew out of the Simplicity browser project, and its motto is, "Browse the Web without clutter." However, it really doesn't offer anything special or unique enough to turn heads, and its emphasis on simplicity also means limited compatibility with add-ons and extensions.
When we first ran Polarity, a setup wizard had us select preferences such as a home page, a default search engine, ad-blocking options, and tab behavior. We opened Polarity's Preferences by clicking the familiar Settings icon, but the preferences sheet is configured rather differently from similar browsers, with a layout, buttons, and navigation controls that take visual cues from smartphone apps. The first thing we do when trying a new browser is to set a blank home page (a habit from the dial-up days) and then import bookmarks from another browser. We accomplished the first task by typing "blank" into the home page address field, but the only option we found for importing bookmarks was a tool for managing IE favorites in Trident tabs. Polarity's browsing performance is right up there with the latest browser releases, but then, it's built with the latest open-source engines. But it has some issues; for instance, we could open a new Trident tab but not access the IE favorites we supposedly imported.
There's little to dislike about Polarity, but it seems unfocused. It's neither simplified enough for inexperienced users nor sophisticated enough for geeks and tweaks.

Download Sleinir Web Browser free for Windows

Posted by Technology Cracks
In Norse mythology, Sleipnir is Odin's eight-legged horse. In the hands of Fenrir's developers, it's a fast and stylish Web browser that brings some of the touch-style functionality of tablets and smartphones to your desktop (sort of like Windows 8 -- coincidence?) especially in fullscreen mode. It's built on top of Mozilla's Gecko engine, like Firefox and many other browsers, so it loads fast and renders pages beautifully. But Sleipnir has a unique, attractive style as well as features that set it apart, most notably the way it uses your mouse to simulate touch commands.
Sleipnir's main view has many familiar touches from the Mozilla toolkit. It's a clean, attractive, and balanced design, with logically placed buttons and icons, and widely customizable, too. The start page describes Sleipnir's features, many of which come into their own in the full-screen view. We clicked the full-screen icon, which does indeed open a colorful yet well-defined space, especially on a widescreen monitor. As a browser, Sleipnir works as well as any, and better than some. We started by importing our bookmarks from Google Chrome with an efficient and flexible tool. We typed in some searches in the address bar. Sleipnir searched with Google, though we could easily search with other search engines as well as e-commerce sites like Amazon.com and eBay. And Sleipnir's toolbar and start menu gave us access to everything we needed in the way of settings and options.
But the coolest thing by far is the way Sleipnir simulates finger-flicks: Hold down the right mouse button, grab a page, and flick it left, right, up, or down to cycle through your open tabs, or grab a tab and drag it open. The action is very smooth and natural and a lot like scrolling through pages on your phone with your thumb. Sleipnir also supports mouse gestures and mouse aliases, keyboard commands, plug-ins, customizable rendering for individual sites, and much more. And that's not all: Sleipnir is also available in mobile versions for Apple, Android, and Windows Phone platforms as well as the Mac. Sleipnir doesn't need eight legs to stand out in the browser field.

Slim Boat Browser Download For Free

Posted by Technology Cracks 2 Comments
We like trying different Web browsers, so when a browser that's actually more than a Chrome or Firefox clone comes along, we're definitely interested. Though it's not radically different in appearance or performance, FlashPeak's lightweight, cross-platform SlimBoat stands out from other browsers by integrating many of the capabilities that the others add on with extensions. It's built on QTWebkit, but all you really need to know is that it's fast and safe. SlimBoat gives up nothing to other browsers when it comes to features and capabilities, either; it inclusdes tons of features such as a form filler, ad and pop-up blockers, a download manager, a YouTube downloader, and integration with Facebook, Twitter, and other social media and Web sites. SlimBoat is free, too, with versions available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. The latest release extracts MP3 audio from YouTube downloads and is Windows 8-ready.
SlimBoat can import data from IE, Firefox, or Chrome. In layout and looks, SlimBoat resembles other modern browsers, nearly all of which use those design elements that work best, such as tabs and bookmark toolbars. SlimBoat also takes design cues from other browsers, such as Netscape's draggable toolbars (and even the little dots like finger grips). But we could change a lot about SlimBoat's looks from the View menu, including its Application style, and from the Settings dialog box. And SlimBoat doesn't just go with the flow, either. It's got plenty of nice touches of its own, like an integrated display of local weather conditions that we enabled and configured by clicking Weather in the Settings. SlimBoat offers a plethora of other options, plus tools such as the Ad Blocker and Popup Blocker. We could translate languages and change the interface language from the Languages menu, though the languages pack is an optional download for those who want to save space.
SlimBoat is a speedy craft. It launches and loads very quickly and handles well in direct comparisons with other browsers, though it couldn't beat the current champ, Chrome, in bandwidth tests. In real-world Web browsing, though, SlimBoat feels distinctly crisp and fast. Slimboat has earned its place in our browser flee

Download Xtravo Web Browser

Posted by Technology Cracks
The Web browser market is dominated by Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari, and Firefox, but that doesn't mean that there isn't room for another contender. Xtravo Web Browser aims to be one of those contenders. We appreciate its minimalist design, but we found its performance incredibly slow at times.
As we mentioned, we liked the browser's user interface. The blue-and-white theme extends to its very basic navigational buttons, which include Back and Forward buttons, a Tab button, and Refresh and Stop buttons. You'll also find a button that hides the browser from your taskbar and screen until you enter Ctrl+E. The i-Page and Tools buttons are where you go manage your Bookmarks/Favorites, RSS feeds, and cookies, and configure your browsing options. The program uses Jawoco Instant Search as its default search engine, but you can choose from a list of others, which includes Bing, Google, Yahoo, and Taqwa.me, an Islamic search engine. We set ours to Google and browsed as usual. The browser successfully imported our bookmarks, but when we tried to visit some of our favorite sites, the browser was slow. And then we tried to go back to our homepage, only to discover that a button doesn't exist for that. Instead, we found it under the Tools menu. More toolbar customization options would have been nice. Even though we didn't configure it to erase data, the browser didn't save any of our browsing history, so we couldn't test the Clean All Data feature to see if it worked. A visit to the online Help page brought up a 404 Error, saying that the URL doesn't exist.
All in all, while Xtravo Web Browser performed its main functions, its slow performance and lack of customization, among other issues, left us less than impressed. We do not recommend it.
Xtravo Web Browser installs desktop icons without permission, but it uninstalls cleanly.

Luna Scope Browser Download for Windows

Posted by Technology Cracks
Firefox, Chrome, and Internet Explorer are the three most popular Web browsers, and each has its own strengths and weaknesses. If you find yourself primarily using one browser but occasionally having to switch back to another for a specific purpose, Lunascape might be just the browser for you. Lunascape combines rendering engines from Firefox, Chrome, and IE and makes it easy to switch between them.
Lunascape has a sleek tabbed interface that doesn't exactly resemble any one browser, but it's familiar-looking enough to be intuitive. It comes with three rendering engines: Trident (from Internet Explorer), Gecko (from Firefox), and WebKit (which powers both Google Chrome and Apple's Safari). We were excited to try Lunascape, because there is one Web site that we visit periodically using Chrome that won't render properly; we always end up having to open Firefox to view it. We opened the site in Lunascape using the WebKit engine, and sure enough, we got an error message. But instead of opening a new browser, we just selected Gecko from the menu next to the address bar. The page automatically refreshed and displayed properly. We did have some problems with add-ons; the biggest was that the Gecko engine is from Firefox 3.6.17, while the current release of Firefox is 5.0. This creates some compatibility problems, and given the popularity of Firefox add-ons, it could be a significant drawback for some users. If you have questions about how Lunascape works, there's an online Help file that includes video tutorials. Overall, we think that Lunascape is a great choice for people who'd like to combine their favorite aspects of various browsers or for developers who need to test code across multiple browsers.
Lunascape installs politely but leaves a folder behind upon removal.

Download Avant Browser

Posted by Technology Cracks
For those who like their customization in-house, the Avant Browser's latest update might appeal to you. Built on an IE-rendering engine, Avant takes off in a different direction--IE if it were being produced by a small firm instead of Microsoft.
The browser is sufficiently fast, preloaded with two dozen similar skins as well as tabbed browsing and modular toolbars that let you move around and hide the Status bar, Toolbar, Search window, and navigation controls. The Menu bar, though, is counterintuitively pinned to the upper-right corner, and icons for proprietary functions, such as an in-page search term highlighting toggle, aren't instantly comprehensible.
Avant can save personalized data online, making bookmarks and form content accessible from any machine. Around the same size as Firefox, Avant includes many features that are available to Firefox users only through plug-ins--such as automatic form fillers. The Full Screen view autohides all menu bars, a nice touch, but certain plug-ins--notably Flash--didn't work on Windows Vista.
Avant is a good browser with some nice built-in features and interface-customization options, but the lack of extensibility and Vista problems don't help. We recommend it to users who want a Microsoft-based engine but think that Internet Explorer 7 is a pain.

Download COmodo Dragon Browser for Windows

Posted by Technology Cracks
Popular security software developer Comodo has developed a Chrome remix said to have higher security features than its predecessors. Comodo Dragon is an aesthetically minimalist browser that is attractive, responsive, and secure.
Apart from the red hue, the Chromium-based browser's interface is identical to that of market contender Google Chrome. From the detachable tabs at the top of the screen to the bookmark-syncing option, it is impossible to instantly recognize where the "remix" takes place. The Help tab even redirects you to Google Chrome's Help page and the Extensions tab redirects you to Google as well. It also keeps Chrome's incognito mode option, where all browsing information and cookies are deleted following the user's Web session. Upon poking around the Options menu, there are a couple of visible differences: there are no location settings and Dragon does not present an option to send "usage statistics and crash reports to Google."
A browser developed by a company that is best known for its firewall software can leave people feeling more secure about their Internet usage. Comodo Dragon will pull up a bright-yellow caution message warning people that sending information may be unsafe when they are entering a Web site with an unstable security certificate. One such message pops up even when logging into large sites like Facebook. Also, Dragon does not send browsing information to a remote server.
Based on simple timer tests run on Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3, the average cold start-up time was 4.53 seconds, warm start-up was 0.92s, and navigation time from nytimes.com to facebook.com was 0.87s. Comodo Dragon proves to have slightly faster page-loading speed than Google Chrome 5.0.375.70, which had results of 5.71s, 1.27s, and 1.23s, respectively. However, in Sunspider JavaScript benchmark testing, Comodo Dragon received an average score of 929.6 milliseconds, whereas Google got 734ms. Based on these results, Google may have faster JavaScript performance than Comodo.
Dragon is not only fast, but like Google Chrome, it is not strewn with numerous icons, leaving more room for Web viewing. For those who are extra cautious about their online security, or for those who are worried about Google's data-mining, this fast browser is a great choice.

Top Browser Bundle SOftware for Windows

Posted by Technology Cracks
If you would have thought Onion Routing involved wooden crates and flatbed trucks or maybe a sandwich order, you might be surprised to hear it's actually an online security technology. Think of an onion's layers: in Onion Routing, layers of encryption make it impossible to trace messages back to their point of origin. Once a secret project of the U.S. Naval Research Lab, it's now the concern of the Tor Project, an open-source community devoted to developing Tor, the software implementation of second-generation Onion Routing technology, and to maintaining the Tor network.
The Firefox-based Tor Browser Bundle integrates the Tor network's enhanced privacy and security. It includes the Vidalia network connection utility, but it's much less fiddly than previous Tor implementations. Basically, the Tor Browser does it all for you. Both the Tor Browser and access to the Tor network are free.
We extracted and opened the Tor Browser, which includes the Vidalia Control Panel, a small dialog box for configuring and managing your connection to the Tor network. But the software did it all itself, connecting and opening the browser in a Tor start page. Though the browser uses a green globe icon, it's basically Firefox 10 with Tor-specific features added to the toolbar. The Tor Browser's extras include NoScript, which by default is set to Forbid Scripts Globally. The green onion icon is called the Torbutton; it's the key to Tor's features and settings. Its menu let us create a New Identity, open the Cookie Protections manager, and set the program's Preferences on three tabs: Proxy, Security, and Display settings. The Security Settings offers by far the most choices, with eight submenus of options.
In use, we found the Tor Browser to be just like other Firefox clones. We know what you're asking: did the Tor Browser slow down our surfing? Yes; there's no doubt that some familiar pages loaded more slowly than usual. Was it annoying? Hardly. Most users will see similar slowdowns on a daily basis. Bottom line: the Tor Browser Bundle makes it easy to take advantage of Tor's proven benefits.

Download Torch Browser for Windows

Posted by Technology Cracks
An all-in-one Web browser is nothing to sneeze at, but Torch Browser isn't going to pry you away from Chrome or Firefox. While it has options that make sharing and social media a breeze, Torch Browser just isn't unique enough to win people's hearts. It lags in performance and its major features aren't worth making the switch.
Torch Browser tries to carve out its niche by being an all-in-one Web browser. This means it can be a media player, a torrent downloader, and a place to combine all of your social networks. However, it doesn't do any of those things well enough to replace what you currently use. Once you get over the novelty, it becomes obvious that Torch Browser isn't that powerful as a Web portal. It's noticeably slower than other browsers and it doesn't have the same sort of add-on support. The layout is just a rip-off of the open-canvas setup of other, more popular browsers. None of this is to say that using it is all a bad experience. Torch Browser still runs circles around Internet Explorer and would be a major upgrade there.
While not a threat to Firefox or Chrome, Torch Browser is easy enough to use and might just impress Internet Explorer users. Heavy downloaders might enjoy the torrent downloader and media player that come with it, too.

Download WebFreer For Windows

Posted by Technology Cracks
Web Freer is built with the open-source Chromium models on which Google Chrome is built, and with HTTPS browsing and privacy options proves to be an effective tool. The sole purpose of Web Free is to replicate a comfortable browsing experience in a natively private environment. So instead of installing modules and add-ons for another browser that may be less secure, Web Freer is built from the ground up to support HTTPS and keep your data safe.
For the most part, it works exactly as intended. Installation is a bit confusing and takes a few minutes to finalize, but once done, you can open Web Freer as you would any other Web browser, and start surfing the Internet. By default, privacy controls are active, so the HTTPS support is there whenever you go online, encrypting your data, blocking display of your IP address, and making sure what you do is anonymous. It can also unblock sites that are commonly blocked by your ISP and it is very quick. The smartest move made by the developers of Web Freer was to build on Chromium, one of the fastest browsing experiences online, to ensure you gain benefits of private browsing without giving anything up. In our tests it was generally as fast as Chrome and often slightly faster than Firefox in opening high-media sites.
If you are eager to protect your browsing data and your identity when online, and want a browser to augment your antivirus protection, consider Web Freer. Designed from the ground up for privacy protection, it is a perfect supplement to your existing protections.
